The fact that the Antichrist is Satan is further reinforced by “His number is 666.”
The number six, translated from the New Testament Greek into English, means “vex,” or “curse,” because he who bears this number is cursed. To be cursed in the Bible means to be viewed with contempt, dishonor, insignificant, of little esteem, dishonored, vile, despised, abated, and erased.
In addition cursed means abhorred, detested, laid under a curse, rendering their days unfortunate. We see cursed in the Bible as destroying and bringing hardship. Not only is the man of sin cursed but he brings a curse onto the world by virtue of his identity.
A triple six is a triple curse both on him and on the world. Six in the Bible is the number of man and the fall brought on man the curse of God.
As seven represents God’s number of perfection, six represents that which is below it that is one shy of seven. Was not Satan the highest angel above all the other angels. The triple six is a trinity, which in the Bible is a number of completeness. A complete curse, the embodiment of all evil and the ultimate curse on mankind and now he walks and reigns among them.
The triple six also represents the unholy trinity, with the Devil acting as God. The Antichrist, whom Satanists call the son of Satan, mimics Jesus Christ. The False Prophet who the Bible predicts will come onto the earth and performs miracles to get the masses to worship the Beast, mocks God’s Holy Spirit. The unholy trinity are named in Scriptures as “The Dragon,” “The Beast,” and “The False Prophet.”
The Dragon is Satan in the Revelation, it means a great serpent. A snake is a reptile, cold blooded, slimy, slithering, with a quick and stinging bite. A snake must rely on the sun to regulate its body temperature. They also do not blink. The king cobra the world’s largest poisonous snake is strong enough to kill an elephant. In the Old Testament Dragon also meant a large sea monster, dinosaur and crocodile. All are large, frightening, menacing and cold.
Thus the number 666 is synonymous with Satan himself and is the number of the Devil. One who is cursed, who brings a curse onto mankind and who is a number because he is ordained for eternal death from his birth. He will now directly challenge the followers of the living God and seek to annihilate them. If he cannot take them with him to eternal hell by numbering them along with himself, he will destroy their lives and murder them.
We see the martyrs crying to God from under the alter in Revelation 6:10, “and they cried with a loud voice saying, How long O Lord holy and true , until you judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth.”
