44-Technology Tower of Babel

Technology Tower of Babel
A noteworthy characteristic of the end time technology god is that it springs from a Tower of Babel mindset or endeavor. As the age nears to drawing to a close we are seeing once again the building of a Tower of Babel the in the area of technology.
The Tower of Babel account in Genesis 11:1-9 begins by stating, “Now the whole earth had one language and one speech.”
It continues:
And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.”
But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. And the Lord said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them.
Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city. Therefore its name is called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth.
The intention of the builders of the city was to make a tower so tall that the top of the tower would reach heaven and the abode of God. They would then make a name for themselves.
The Bible states in verse 5, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is that they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld unto them.”
When the people were united, one of their first attempts was to be on par with God, and God knew that they would not accomplish this feat by building this tower because they could only build so far up into the sky. But it was the idea that being on par with God was their intention. They were looking to become great and for notoriety for themselves.  How much better than to mimic God Himself.
God confused their language and scattered them and by doing so we had the division of nations identified by their languages and culture.  Empires might take over some of those nations and absorb their language and culture, but overall there remained division of peoples.
At the time of Babel the Bible tells us:
Now the whole earth had one language and one speech.”
The  industrial age began in 1760, followed by the machine age of 1880, which was trailed by the information age, which soured by 1990 onward. And this has brought us to the time of the end described in Daniel 12:4, which states, “But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”
Along with increased knowledge and high speed travel, an interesting development occurred, the barriers that God created- we see in retrospect -were only temporary because we have again arrived at a time when the people are close to being one as at the time of Babel.
As industry and technology caused the world economie’s to become interdependent, world problems became global in nature. This caused world leaders to unite to solve them and form global institutions to deal with the tasks.
Thus a byproduct of the machine and technological age were world institutions, interconnected economies and even the language barrier came down with translation of languages occurring at the push of a button for anything you might read on the internet. As industry and technology accelerated so did the means to teach and translate languages. Technology allowed languages to be taught easily so that one person can learn several.
The languages and nations that  God established to prevent a Tower of Babel in these end times have been eradicated via technology and the nation state has eroded through globalization.
In this globalized world the EU formed along with many regional groupings, dividing our giant world like a pie and helping it unify so that groups like the one that appeared at Babel would emerge to make a name for themselves.
From these sprang the international scientific projects such as the human genome project or the brain initiatives in an effort to research and eradicate disease.

These scientists are determined to crack the code of life and  learn how the brain works to mimic it in the most ungodly of ways such as  uploading one’s memories to a computer. Futurist Jason Sosa stated, we will be able to delete memories and upload new ones.” Scientists are also aiming to perfect on God’s creation with superhuman skin, hearing and vision.

It goes beyond just helping to improve lives but has ventured into other fields and is now a Tower of Babel as man attempts to improve on God’s creation and even create a new living race. There are even experiments to create motherless babies. It does not stop here as man is also as was in the actual time of Babel attempting to reach into the heavens.
