Emmanuel Macron’s 10 Nation Defense Union
It was early morning and upong starting up my laptop I recieved an email from Daniel Mast from the Netherlands informing me of Emmanuel Macron’s proposal of a ten nation defense union. The fact that Macron proposed ten for this Union syncs with the Predictions of the Revived Roman Empire which is the European Union in its final powerful structure.
Is this the EU-ten nation federation the Bible Predicts?
Daniel Mast who writes me somewhat regularly asked me,
Are we already witnessing the formation of a 10-nation coalition which
will be led by the antichrist?
How Macron’s Coalition Fits in with Bible Prophecy
What is exciting in the unfolding of Bible Prophecy is Macron’s bringing together 10 nations. But this coalition is not the 10 Nation Core that the Bible Predicts. Having said that it is a stepping stone towards it. In addition Macron’s Coalition not only lends to the 10 Nation Prophecy but also to the US decline we know is coming. Macron’s coalition excludes the United States and NATO and provides a European alternative to NATO essentially kicking the US out of their military affairs.
The Beginnings of the Ten Nation Federation Began after the EU’s enlargement
The European Union comprises of 27 nations. The book of Revelation and Daniel predict its final institutional structure of Ten Kings joined with the EU President. Many teachers wrote off the European Union because of its 28 members without looking deeper. They sited any world type of organization comprised of ten.
What they missed within the EU is that for several decades, since the Union’s massive enlargement beyond 12 nations, politicians and think tanks have discussed breaking up the union into smaller circles. This plan on the part of EU politicians started the ball rolling so to speak toward the ten nation federation.
The Union was never meant to function beyond 12 members. It is currently too large.
The EU’s Unanimity Voting Rules Hinders the EU Moving Forward
A major reason the Union wants to move forward with a smaller group is because the Union’s voting procedures which require unanimity hinder the EU from moving forward.
An entire list of legislation comes under the unanimity rule in the Council. These include key areas such as common foreign and security policy, EU finances, certain provisions in the field of justice and home affairs, and EU membership. All key areas that keep the EU from becoming a political powerhouse becuase of the inability to get a unanimous vote on these issues.
Past Names and ideas for the Inner Core
As the EU took in new member countries EU politicians and Think tanks put forward their ideas for the EU going forward with a smaller group of nations. From calling it an inner core, union of cocentric circles, multi speed Europe, and even naming it the avant garde,
When the idea began to floatin EU circles, this was the beginnings of the ten nation federation fulfillment. It provided another indicator that the European Union is the revived Roman empire predicted by Daniel and John in the Revelation. We know from Bible Prophecy that the Union will form this core and the number of nations will be 10.
The Gift of the Schengen Agreement
Back in 1985 before the EU’s major enlargement when concensus could not be reached among all EC member states on the abolition of border controls, five of the ten EEC member states agreed to go ahead as a group and abolish their borders. They signed the Schengen Agreement in the town of Schengen, Luxembourg. They established the Schengen Area separately from the European Economic Community. The Schengen Convention of 1990 included the abolition of internal border controls and a common visa policy.
The Schengen Area
Created in 1995 the Schengen Area adopted rules separate from the then European Community. Today Schengen consists of 26 member states and 4 are not members of the EU.
Schengen Treaties Become EU Law and Provide Example
Inititally the Schengen treaties operated independently from the European Union. However, in 1999 they were included into European Union law by the Amsterdam Treaty. Schengen provided the example of how the EU could form this inner core. When the Berlin wall fell the list of countries applying for EU membership balooned. In 1995 the list of EU members increased to 15. In 2004 the EU took in 10 new members.
Schengen Inspires “Enhanced Cooperation” Clause in Amsterdam Treaty
Enhanced Cooperation enshrined in the Treaties inspired by Schengen, gave bones or a skeleton to the proposed inner core. Introduced by the Amsterdam Treaty, EC allowed for community, judicial and criminal matters. The Nice Treaty simplified it and forbade opposition to enhanced cooperation’s creation.
What is Enhanced Cooperation?
While Schengen provided the skeleton to the inner core of nations, enhanced cooperation provided the flesh on the bones. It also unfolded Bible Prophecy and provides a path to its fulfillment.
Enhanced cooperation allows for a minimum of nine member states to co-operate within the structures of the EU without all member states. This allows them to move at different speeds, and towards different goals, than those outside the enhanced cooperation area. It is designed to overcome the paralysis caused by members who block initiatives from going forward.
Enhanced Cooperation will lead to ten nation federation
Enhanced Cooperation needs a minimum of nine Member States, who file a request with the European Commission. This is no coincident that nine is the minimum number. We know this will lead to the ten. Macron’s coalition of ten in the area of Defense provides the Biblical number and sets a precedent.
The 2007 Lisbon Treaty extended enhanced cooperation to include defence and and paves for establishment of a permanent structured cooperation in defence. The provisions governing enhanced cooperation are detailed in the Treaty on European Union (Article 20) and Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (Article 326-334).
The ten nation federation of Prophecy will occur in the EU Council
Based on the predictions in the book of Daniel and Revelation and undersanding how the EU works, this change will occur in the EU Council. What the Bible shows us is the final world empire’s governmental institutional structure. This lines perfectly with the European Union’s. Except that there are 28 members in the Council, but in the future it will break into this inner core and we will see ten.
The Biblical Details begin with Nebudchadnezzar’s Dream Image
We first see the image in Daniel Chapter 2. Nebudchadnezzar had a dream that upset him so much he expected his wise men to be able to both interpret his dream and recite it back to him. After telling Nebudchadnezzar no one in the world had this power, he ordered his wise men killed. When word got to Daniel he prayed and God answered his prayer. Daniel told the king his dream and provided the interpretation. Afterwards the king promoted Daniel within the kingdom.
Nebudchadnezzar’s Dream Reveals Future Prophecy
Nebudchadnezzar’s dream revealed the end of the Babylonian kingdom, and three more kingdoms or empires that would follow. The last kingdom depicts the final empire that ushers in the end of the world.
Iron Legs and Feet of Iron and Clay
In Daniel 32:33 we learn it has iron legs and feet of iron and clay.

Daniel elaborates on the iron and clay further down and states:
40 And the fourth kingdom shall be as strong as iron, inasmuch as iron breaks in pieces and shatters everything; and like iron that crushes, that kingdom will break in pieces and crush all the others. 41 Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay. 42 And asthe toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. 43 As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay.
What the Iron and Clay Represents
Of the four kingdoms this last empire is the strongest. Yet as strong as the empire is it is partly fragile because it is divided. This toes part of clay and iron depict this. Notice the weakness is in the toes. The Scripture tells us the clay is the seed of men which in the Bibical Hebrew means culture, nations, tribes, peoples. This describes the European Union’s weakness today. Nationalism is essentially what keeps the EU from going forward. The EU will rise to greatness none the less, but even at the hieght of its power this will still be an issue.
Error of Bible Prophecy Teachers on Iron Legs and Toes
Some Bible Prophecy teachers mis indentify the legs and toes. They state the image has ten toes when the Bible does not give the number of toes. On the two legs, the identities range from the Byzintine, east from west division, to a depiction of the EU merging with the Islamic nations. Then there are the teachings it is the Ottomans and not the Roman empire at all. The two legs repesent the division of the ten kings, which is one leg to the remaining kings on the other leg, which make up this power’s government. When the Bible depicts the final world empire, there are no more references to past empires, this is the revived Empire in its final form. We can now know the certain represention of the two legs with the empire before us in its early stages.
The “Night Visions”
In the first year of the reign of Belshazzar Nebudchadnezzar’s grandson, Daniel has visions and a dream,which he refers to as the “night visions.” These elaborate and provide many more details to Nebudchadnezzar’s dream image. These greatly disturb Daniel. These visions also like Nebudchadnezzar’s image provides details of all four empires with the greatest focus on the last empire. In addition the final empire bears attributes of the previous empires.
The first mention in the book of Daniel of the Ten Horns
In Daniel 7: we get the first mention of the ten horns and more detail on the final world power’s strength.
7 “After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns.
The Antichrist Appears Amidst the Horns
We also see our first appearance of the Antichrist coming after the horns as a little horn.
8 I was considering the horns, and there was another horn, a little one, coming up among them, before whom three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots. And there, in this horn, were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking pompous words.
As Daniel watches the little horn makes war with the Saints and from there the visions provide views right up until the Judgement seat of Christ.
More Details on the Final World Power and the Ten Kings
Daniel 7:23 provides more details it states:
‘The fourth beast shall be A fourth kingdom on earth, Which shall be different from all other kingdoms, And shall devour the whole earth, Trample it and break it in pieces. 24 The ten horns are ten kings Who shall arise from this kingdom.
The ten horns are ten kings Who shall arise from this kingdom. And another shall rise after them; He shall be different from the first ones, And shall subdue three kings.
The Ten Kings Rise from an Established Kingdom
Here the Bible tells us that the ten kings arise from this kingdom, interesting wording because they are already in this kingdom and arise from it. We also see that the little horn which rises after the kings, because these kingdoms were established first in history.
The Little Horn amidst the Ten Horns
If fully grown horns in the book of Daniel represent kings, why is the Antichrist compared or named a little horn? Why is his horn small? Notice he rises after the kings, they were established first. This is because the Antichrist’s role is relatively new on the stage he appears on.
Bible Prophecy Meets Geopolitics
I stated earlier that tBible Prophecy’s language is dimensional. Its simplistic language paralels and thus opens into complex information. So what we are giving a picture of is the instutional structure of the government of the Final World Empire. The writings are also paradoxial because its few words give way to many details.
The Little Horn Mirrors the EU Commission Presidency
This describes the European Commission which is the leading presidency in the European Union. It is in fact relatively new on the world stage next to the kingdoms that make it up. Even more so, it is already proposed for it to get increased powers to act as the government of the EU and thus also fulfilling the little horn depiction. As the Bible portrays the Commission Presidencial seat did in fact rise after the kingdoms of the kings.
Other Reasons the Little Horn is the Commission President
The Little Horn is also differant from the kings because he has power to subdue three kings. The terminology actually means to pluck them out by the roots. This is the role of the Commision, not the kings in this empire. We see this happening now to the UK in BREXIT. The other reason the Commission Presidency is the Seat of the Antichrist because the Commision would allow the Antichrist all the powers outlined in Scripture. For example access to new technologies, their implementation, etc.
The Book of Revelation Depicts the Dragon like beast having Ten Horns.
The ten kings appear in Revelation 12:13 depicted as part of the Beast so they are relevant, the Beast is also the Antichrist. As the beast is depicted rising up (out of the sea) we see the ten horns and on them are crowns (Revelation 13:1). In the book of Revelation the horns appear on the Beast of Revelation, the Antichrist’s empire Revelation 17:3.) In Revelation we also see the kings taking part in the coming Persecution and abolition of Religion. The final world empire would not have its power without these kings.
They recieve power as kings one hour with the Beast
According to Rev 17:12 they reign one hour with the Beast. This indicates that they might be discarded toward the end of his reign, prior to the battle of Armageddon. His dictatorship will include them because they help him achieve great power. They also help launch his evil plans, we see they take part in the great persecution of the church and of all religions. But according to Scripture, they only reign with the Antichrist for a time.
The Ten Kings Major Act During the Tribulation
In Revelation 17 wee see the kings along with the Antichrist will take part in a major feat. Based on the prophetic passages and this is covered in detail elsewhere on this site, they will take possession of all church’s and church property. This will include the Vatican. The Vatican’s riches will henceforth become theirs. This is in addition to killing Christians who do not take the mark of the beast. This is apparant in the language of Rev 17:16:
And the ten horns which thou saweth upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

Revelation 17 Provides the Details of the Institutional Structure of the Ten Kings and the Antichrist
Reelation 17 12-13 reads:
12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.
Revelation 17: 17 adds For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.
These Bible verses Perfectly Describe the European Council
The EU Council comprises of the president of the Commission (future seat of the Antichrist) and of the leaders–Presidents or Prime Ministers of the Member Countries. Right now the Council consists of the soon to be 27 leaders.
According to the EU’s website on the European Council
The European Council defines the EU’s overall political direction and priorities.
The members of the European Council are the heads of state or government of the 28 EU member states, the European Council President and the President of the European Commission.
This fits the Biblical descripton perfectly only there will be ten nations that rule along with the Commission president and set the political direction and priorities.
What else is currently happening to bring about the fulfillment of the 10 kings prophecy?
EU Parliament Draft Report
The Draft The Committee on Constitutional Affairs first published this draft in July of 2016 and issued further amendments in November, The draft talks about integrating the European Council into what would be called a Council of States and replace the six month rotating presidency with “a system of permanent chairs chosen from their midst: suggests that the idea of creating a special law Council should be favorably considered. The special law council might would fit the 10 king along with the Antichrist picture in Bible Prophecy.
In Conclusion
We see the European Union at the height of its power predicted by the prophet Daniel and John in the Revelation. The fact that we can name the instititonal structure the books depict and also know with a certainty the inner core will be formed, but with 10 members, shows just how close we are getting to the start of the Tribulation.
