In my book the Seat of the Antichrist I addressed the three horns of Daniel 7 and said that since we know that the ten horns come out of the Beast (Final World Empire) that these three nations would be subdued by the Antichrist.
I stated that possibly there would be 13 nations and 3 would be removed making the final number 10. Some have speculated that three would be removed from the ten leaving 7. The verses read as follow:
Daniel 7:7…It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. 8 I was considering the horns, and there was another horn, a little one, coming up among them, before whom three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots.
Daniel 7:19 …and the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn which came up, before which three fell, namely, that horn which had eyes and a mouth which spoke pompous words, whose appearance was greater than his fellows.
Daniel 7:24 The ten horns are ten kings who shall arise from this kingdom. And another shall rise after them; He shall be different from the first ones, And shall subdue three kings.
Subdue in the Hebrew word means humble, abase, subdue, put down. Chaldee APHEL, to depress, to cast down, (kings, mighty men) Daniel 5:19 7:24 to depress, humble one’s heart, to be humbled, ibid. 5:22
Plucked up by the roots means, to pluck, be rooted up, to be rooted up, to root up meaning to remove completely, eliminate, obliterate, wipe out.
There is another possibility that would fit in geopolitically and biblically and thus solve the mystery of the three horns in Daniel 7. These three nations might be nations that relinquish and give up their sovereignty to the Beast. Let’s say that two of the nations were Belgium and Luxembourg, they would in fully giving their laws over to the EU completely integrate with EU and no longer call themselves by their country’s name. Thus, they would be subdued and plucked up by the roots because a horn in the Bible is a kingdom. This not only solves the mystery of the three horns, which is yet future, but would also fit the description.
Within the EU, there is the discussion for an inner core of members who will go forward ahead of the other members in full-fledged political union. This is laid out in a simple arrangement in the proposed treaty to replace the Lisbon treaty: The Fundamental Law of the European Union. In the prophetic writings, the ten kings align with the Beast, but these three are different. Daniel 7:19 tell us and the other horn which came up, before which three fell, the word fell is the Aramaic word nephal, which means to fall, fall down, it also means to prostrate one’s self. What would be more humbling for a kingdom than to give its nation over to be part of another one and that is basically what they will do. These three will give up their nationhood to assume the Empire’s. This can also yet happen in the European Union’s evolution. I spoke about the core group, well when that is officially formed, these three can prostrate themselves to the Beast by giving up their national sovereignty completely and being the countries’ that give up national laws for EU laws only. Thus the mystery of the 3 horns of Daniel, which has been one of the most difficult to understand prophetic forecasts is now solved. Since the words used for the three kings of Daniel 7 signify being humbled, what is more humbling for a nation than to give up its nationhood for the Empire it chooses to join.
